  2. Maton Flamingo 1963

    November 28, 2017

It’s hard to believe that this old girl is as old as me….. and like me, has done many, many gigs…. The action is sleek on account of the fret dress and set up just completed in our workshop.  I made a brass brake bar to increase the down pressure onto the bridge, and used the original tail piece mounting holes to fit the brake so as to not affect the originality. She is so lovely and is original right down to the fret wire. The patina and checking are sublime. She might be light in weight (3kg’s) but big on resonance and tone. Whether a collector or player, she’s just beautiful!

  3. 1973 Fender Telecaster Custom

    20160416_1752421973 Fender Telecaster Custom

    ser. No. 373650

This guitar is all original (apart from a replaced 3 way selector switch) right down to the frets. The alder body is light (unlike the later American ash guitars).

The playability is smooth owing to the slick factory frets and the tone is as you would expect. We see very few pre ’75 telecasters so examples like this are highly collectable, although we’d love to see it gigging again….

We all have a little bit of Keith Richards that needs to come out so here’s your chance. Hope that happens I don’t really know what else to say, this tele’s doing the talking now

    $4000.00 (inc original case)

  5. 1962 Harmony Rocket

    1962 Harmony Rocket

Can you believe it! This beautiful vintage 1962 Harmony Rocket had been sitting around the shop in a half finished state for over 2 years, owing the fact that John was so daunted by the prospect of re wiring her, that it sat in the “too hard” basket.

    until now…

Finally here she is, freshly re wired, re fretted and ready to go. The super slim neck will be a treasure for those with, shall we say “petite hands” or maybe not. The Gold top pick ups are surprisingly fat and the tone is warm and woody.

  6. 1977 Fender Telecaster Deluxe

    March 13, 2014

DSCF5283A shiny, lovely 1977 Fender Telecaster Deluxe. What can we say that hasn’t been said about this little classic?

The fat, warm tone of the wide range humbuckers are offset by the one piece maple neck and northern ash body. This guitar is original in every way real stunner with street cred to burn.
