  1. Harmony Hawaiian C. 1940’s

    January 16, 2016

DSCF2224So On the subject of Screen print guitar, this a “Vaquero” dating to Early 30’s Chicago…. She’s just had a full “back off” restoration and a modified “X” brace arrangement have been fitted. Amazingly full rich tone and volume makes this little girl very sweet and will be loved by anyone who takes her home. We were fortunate to have this baby purchased by John C Reilly who was in town filming a movie, helluva nice guy!

  3. 1964 Burns Vibroslim

    January 16, 2016

    DSCF2233

I present to you the Burns Vibroslim Circa 1964…..Now if there’s one thing I know about you Burns Folk and that is you’re all a bit mad! Kind of like me and triumph TR7’s… only “special” friends get it….. with that said, this beast sounds huge and plays real slick having just been re fretted and set up, I’ve never worked out why Burns Guitar’s didn’t appear more in the heavier end of classic 60’s rock as they really are built for the job….Love it!

    $1450

    Sold.

  4. 1940’s Richter Parlor Guitar

    January 16, 2016

DSCF2194This little Richter Cowboy really puts the “cowboy” into Cowboy guitar…. dating from the 40’s we left her in original guise as the trapeze bridge guitar rather than modifying her to a “pin bridge” arrangement. We have to keep those pretty, pretty graphics as visible as possible. The tone is punchy whilst keeping that bit of “plink” associated with this type of instrument…. way cute and price accessible for those wanting to delve into the world of vintage….. a warning though…. Once you get your first one, you wont stop….. which is good for us but shit house for your marriage.

    $695

  6. Gibson J50 c. 1968

    October 16, 2015

Gibson J50Every guitar has a story, however this guitar has pedigree. Jacki Marshall (web site here) is one of the best singer song writers I know (her last CD was awarded 4 stars in the Australian). However since having a bubby, something had to go (don’t worry, it wasn’t the bub ). This guitar is beautiful, All solid Spruce and Mahogany construction makes for a big rich and woody tone. Whoever gets this beauty will never want for vintage tone again.
